Hematology & Medical Oncology Fellowship
Lipson Cancer Institute - Rochester Regional Health
Director’s Letter
Welcome to the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program at Rochester Regional Health!
Thank you for your interest in the Medical Oncology Fellowship Program. As a Fellow, you will primarily serve patients at Rochester General Hospital, which is a premier teaching hospital and the flagship hospital for Rochester Regional Health. Our system consists of five hospitals covering a 14-county area in Western New York State, with seamlessly integrated healthcare and the highest level of cancer care through the Lipson Cancer Institute.
Our program is proud of the strong clinical training we are able to provide for fellows. A broad range of rotations are provided to fellows in order to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to care for patients with cancer and blood disorders. Fellows will gain experience in all facets of Hematology and Medical Oncology – including general oncology consultations, hematology/hemophilia consultations, bone marrow transplant (with a one month rotation at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY), research, and so much more.
Our faculty are outstanding mentors, teachers, and clinical providers who have trained at some of the most renowned academic programs themselves, and are passionate about education and committed to the highest quality of care.
There are daily opportunities to treat a large volume of diverse patients with cutting edge therapies. Our fellows will graduate with the full skill set necessary to begin their career as a Hematologist and Medical Oncologist.
We look forward to meeting you!
