Skylar Mogab, MPH

Skylar Mogab, MHA

Preceptor: Jill Graziano, Senior Vice President, President & Chief Operating Officer, Unity Hospital & UMMC

Skylar Mogab is a Rochester, New York native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences from UC Irvine and her Master of Health Administration from the University of Southern California.

Skylar’s interest in healthcare administration began while conducting her undergraduate honors thesis, which evaluated the quality and readability of artificial intelligence generated patient education materials in the field of urogynecology. Prior to joining Rochester Regional Health, she completed internships in managed care and ambulatory care, where she gained experience in healthcare operations, strategy, and special projects.

As an Administrative Fellow, Skylar is excited to work in the acute hospital setting and contribute to initiatives that improve clinical operations, patient throughput, and capital planning. She will be supporting operations at both Unity Hospital and UMMC.

Outside of work, Skylar enjoys Lagree and strength training, exploring new cities through their food and coffee/matcha scenes, and spending time with friends and family.

Sophia Braithwaite, MPH

Sophia Braithwaite, MPH

Preceptor: Colleen Rose, SVP of Extended Care

Sophia Braithwaite is a Rochester, NY native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and her Master of Public Health (MPH) from SUNY Albany.

During her academic training, Sophia contributed to patient education initiatives focused on Breast Cancer-Related Lymphedema and worked with the New York State Department of Health to research barriers to cancer screening among individuals with disabilities. Before joining Rochester Regional Health (RRH) as an Administrative Fellow, she worked as an Operating Room Assistant, gaining valuable firsthand experience in patient care and healthcare operations.

Her professional interests include healthcare operations, population health, health equity and accessibility, clinical medicine, and leadership development.

As a Fellow, Sophia is excited to gain a comprehensive understanding of health system operations while contributing to initiatives that enhance patient care, workforce development, and organizational performance. She is particularly interested in how healthcare leaders drive innovation, operational excellence, and meaningful improvements across the continuum of care.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending Zumba classes, thrifting, and volunteering at Webster Comfort Care.

Ahnaf As-Salek, MPH Headshot

Ahnaf As-Salek, MPH

Preceptor: Melissa Gardner, President & COO, RRH Clinically Integrated Network & Cori Wyman, Vice President, Care Management and Pharmacy Services

Ahnaf is originally from California and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. He later completed his Master of Public Health at Columbia University, where he developed a strong interest in healthcare operations, population health, and improving healthcare delivery.

Before joining Rochester Regional Health, Ahnaf gained experience in both public health research and patient-facing healthcare settings. His work included research focused on global health and tobacco and nicotine retail environments, as well as roles at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and UC Davis Medical Center, where he supported patient education and care delivery. These experiences strengthened his passion for advancing health equity, improving access to care, and enhancing healthcare delivery through both research and operations.

As an Administrative Fellow, Ahnaf is excited to contribute to initiatives that strengthen population health management, improve healthcare operations, and enhance the patient experience. He is particularly interested in value-based care, care coordination, and using data-driven strategies to improve health outcomes across diverse communities.

Outside of work, Ahnaf enjoys staying active, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
